ROUTINE PREVIEW

ABOUT THE dance TEACHER

Becky grew up training in many dance styles at Vanessa’s School of Dance, Belper but Tap was always her favourite.

At 19 she successfully auditioned to become part of Tap Attack and competed in the World Tap Dance Championships gaining a bronze medal in their formation routine. Since then, Becky has had many professional performance jobs including Pantomimes, shows at Alton Towers and being on tour with The Drifters. Becky’s passion for Tap continued to grow over the years and has been lucky to train with some of the best Tap Masters around the world including Heather Cornell, Roxane Butterfly and Sarah Reich. As well as performing, she nowteaches at a variety of dance schools, colleges and companies and runs her own workshops.

The best thing about Tap, is dancing with a live jazz band so as well as regularly performing at Tap Jams, Becky now also has her own band called Vintage on Tap!

Her love for this era goes hand in hand with the Charleston and has always loved dancing in this style too. She is very excited for the opportunity to become a MyCharleston teacher!
